Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 9, 2026
Sendli (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates a web application that helps organizations create and publish AI-generated newsletters. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over your data.
1. Information We Collect
Account & Profile Information
When you sign up, we collect your email address and create a user profile. This information is used to authenticate you and associate your data with your account.
Organization Information
During onboarding, you provide details about your organization, including its name, type (e.g., band, choir, sports team, club), staff contact names and email addresses, and brand colors. This information is used to personalize your newsletter experience.
Newsletter & Event Content
We store the events, notes, and newsletter content you create within the app, including any images you upload. Published newsletters are made publicly accessible via your organization’s unique subdomain URL.
Calendar Data
If you connect a Google Calendar via an iCal feed URL, we fetch and store event data from that feed to populate your event list. We do not access your Google account credentials — only the public iCal URL you provide.
Billing Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status (e.g., trialing, active, past due, cancelled) to manage your account access.
Usage & Technical Data
We may collect standard server logs and technical information (such as IP address, browser type, and referring URLs) as a byproduct of operating our infrastructure. We do not use third-party analytics trackers on our platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and improve the Sendli service
- To authenticate you and secure your account
- To generate AI-powered newsletter content from your notes and events
- To process payments and manage your subscription
- To serve your published newsletters publicly at your organization’s URL
- To respond to support requests or communications from you
- To comply with legal obligations
3. AI-Generated Content
Newsletter content is generated using Google’s Gemini AI model. When you request newsletter generation, your notes and event data are sent to the Google Generative AI API to produce content. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their API usage policies. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell your data to any third party.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the following service providers who help us operate Sendli:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (hosted in the US)
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
- Google (Gemini API) — AI newsletter generation
Each of these providers is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
5. Public Content
Newsletters you publish and your shareable calendar are accessible to anyone with the link, without requiring a login. Do not include sensitive personal information in published newsletter content if you do not want it to be publicly visible.
6. Cookies & Sessions
We use cookies and browser storage to maintain your authenticated session. These are essential for the service to function and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription or request account deletion, we will delete your personal data and organization content within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law.
8. Your Rights
Depending on where you are located, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including:
- Access to the data we hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your account and associated data
- Portability of your data
- Withdrawal of consent where processing is consent-based
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email address below.
9. Children’s Privacy
Sendli is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of Sendli after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
